Getting Involved
From PEPWiki
The easiest way to get involved with the Perl Email Project is to join the mailing list! You'll be able to see what's going on, ask your questions, and start up new discussions about your ideas.
Keeping an eye on the wiki is also a good idea.
Writing Code
If you're writing Perl code that deals with email, have a look around the CPAN and around the wiki to see if it's a problem that's already been solved for you. If not, sending a sketch of your idea to the list is a great way to get feedback on making your solution even better. Everyone who works with PEP wants to be able to do less work and have better-feeling code, so helping you is our priority.
Check out the Big Todo List, first of all.
You can look for pages that have problems in Category:HasProblems and for pages with ideas for future development in Category:HasIdeas.
Check out the page on coding standards.
Mailing List
The Perl Email Project has a mailing list. Joining the mailing list is the best way to get involved with what's actually happening with the PEP.
To subscribe, send a blank email to the subscribe address.
There is an archive of past posts.
Internet Relay Chat
There is an IRC channel for the discussion of email and Perl on irc.perl.org, #email.
